1 - Parents José António's father was named Joaquim Antonio Ribeiro, born in Duartina, son of Portuguese parents. His mother, Narcisa de Lourdes Afonso Ribeiro, was born in Portugal, in the parish of Penhas Juntas, municipality of Vinhais, district of Bragança.
2 - Sisters Maria de Fátima Ribeiro and Lúcia Helena Ribeiro, José António's sisters, were born in Duartina, SP, on their Portuguese grandfather's farm. Fátima lives in Tupã, SP, and Lúcia in Campo Grande, MS.
3 - Father Joaquim Joaquim passed away in 2010. He was a farmer for most of his life, had a talent for working with the land and animals. Despite not having had the opportunity to study, he possessed a great capacity for learning. He was passionate about spccer and encouraged José António to play professionally, always accompanying him to games. He was affectionately nicknamed Lugano because of his light hair and green eyes.
4 - Mother Narcisa Narcisa passed away in 2022. An entrepreneur, she was the eldest daughter and helped raise her siblings. Her main goal was to see her children graduate from university, which she achieved. She worked tirelessly, both at home and in the family business, and took care of her grandchildren. José António misses her immensely, especially when he would say while hugging her: "Can I kiss you one more time?" A strong woman and an exemplary human being.
