Q4 - When we talk about data analysis, do you consider it important to have specific professionals for these tasks in a team?
Yes. I consider it important to have specific professionals for data analysis in the team.
More than that, data analysis has gained mandatory professional contours regardless of the area in which the professional operates.
This is what we call “Data Literacy” or "Digital Literacy", which deals with the professional skills and abilities to handle data.
It is the ability to derive relevant information from data and transform it into knowledge.
Being data literate does not mean becoming a technology expert, but acquiring common knowledge to communicate in this language with others.
Digital Literacy is the ability to express oneself in the language of data, which we call “Speak Data”. It is like learning a new language to express oneself through data.
Skills involve thinking critically about data, recognizing true from false, interpreting the message of the data, knowing how to speak or communicate a story developed from the data.
This rhetoric about data is called “Data Storytelling” which should translate the knowledge extracted from the data, describing it in a simple and objective way so that everyone can understand.
